Box Office: Puss in Boots Claws Its Way up
Puss in Boots Puss in Boots clawed its way up from the box office straight from the gate, Hollywood.com reviews. The Shrek spin-off made an believed $34 million in the opening weekend. Last weekend's No. 1 film, Paranormal Activity 3, scared up another $18.5 million the weekend before Halloween to position second. Paranormal Activity 3 becomes best horror movie opening ever The sci-fi film Over Time opened up to $12 million to consider third place. Footloose was grounded at No. 4 with $5.4 million. The Rum Diary, starring The Actor-brad Pitt, was the cheapest premiere from the weekend - drawing $5 million to consider fifth place. Real Steel required no. 6 place with $4.7 million. The 3 Musketeers adopted in seventh place with $3.5 million. Rounding the top ten: The Ides of March (No. 8, $2.7 million), Moneyball (No. 9, $2.4 million) and Courageous (No. 10, $1.8 million).
